Adventures in Marriage (AIM) is an internationally recognized program that educates couples to better communicate, resolved conflict and feel more connected. 

 Who Are We
We have been married for over 30 years and worked together as leaders for a Christian Church Ministry and has led many marriage seminars.   We are also involved in the San Antonio Marriage Ministry https://www.samarriage.org/

Adventures in Marriage (AIM)

Adventures in Marriage is a highly interactive program that teaches couples the practical “hands on” skills essential to build a healthy,thriving marriage that can go the distance.  AIM helps couples discover better ways to meet one another’s needs, communicate, resolveconflicts, express anger, avoid dirty fighting, and understand how their personality styles impact relationships for better or worse. 

Private and Group Coaching on AIM include

-5 (2hour) Interactive sessions

-A workbook

- 1 (50) session after learning the techniques to check in. ]

-Virtual Sessions  in the privacy of your home

Are these the right couples workshop for us?

The Gottman Seven Principles Program and Adventures in Marriage is designed for all couples in a committed relationship that would like enrichment and closer bonding which incluldes:

  • Married couples 

  • Pre-engaged couples (those considering marriage)

  • Engaged or Premarital couples (those taking steps towards marriage)

  • Every phase of relationships, from newlyweds to senior couples

  • Those who wish to enhance an already “good” marriage or relationship

  • Those needing better conflict management tools

  • Those considering couples therapy but who are not "ready" for weekly therapy yet

  • People of all backgrounds, ages, Faiths, sexual orientations and relationship arrangements.

**Special Note:  If you are dealing with emotional abuse, domestic violence, unwanted touch, or substance abuse, this class is NOT appropriate for you.  You should instead seek individual or couples therapy or other interventions to meet your needs or to secure your safe.

Sec. 181.104. CONSUMER COMPLAINT REPORT BY ATTORNEY GENERAL. (a) The attorney general annually shall submit to the legislature a report describing:(1) the number and types of complaints received by the attorney general and by the state agencies receiving consumer complaints under Section 181.103; and(2) the enforcement action taken in response to each complaint reported under Subdivision (1).(b) Each state agency that receives consumer complaints under Section 181.103 shall submit to the attorney general, in the form required by the attorney general, the information the attorney general requires to compile the report required by Subsection (a).(c) The attorney general shall de-identify protected health information from the individual to whom the information pertains before including the information in the report required by Subsection (a).Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1126 (H.B. 300), Sec. 6, eff. September 1, 2012.

The Behavioral Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapist, professional counselors, psychologist, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology.  Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensed involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.

Notice of General Health Records

The laws and standards of counseling in Texas require the therapist to keep treatment records. These records are confidential and will not be released to anyone without the client’s consent.  Please be aware that the client may choose not to release these if they can be emotionally or legally damaging.  The therapist will make these records available to another mental or medical health professional at the clients request.
